At puberty, the hormones stimulate the sebaceous glands into generating more sebum, an oily substance that waterproofs and protects the skin and hair. However, sebum is also involved in the formation of acne, although the exact mechanism is not understood. It is believed that the pores become clogged with sebum, bacteria and dead skin cells, and that bacterial attack of this oily mass causes it to become infected. In as much as I would not presume to offer such advice, I know that in many cases, it has been a wise choice to do just that. I wouldn't however generally dole out such advice since there is a surer way of ensuring the effectiveness of the products we use. There are persons referred to as Dermatologist. This option saves you from using your precious as a Guinea pig. if you test a product on your skin and it works, you would look wise haven made the right choice. What if it has a harmful effect on your skin? Your dermatologist is your friend in your pursuit of a healthy skin.

Drink at least 8 small glasses per day - enough so that your urine is clear or slightly yellow.
